Mwenyenyo Dance Group consists of 32 women and 6 men. They perform traditional Kamba dances where the soloist is in front, leading the rest of the group with a feathered stick. She also makes the lyrics, while the whole group makes the moves.

For special occasions they make numbers that are customized for the event – using different rhythm, beat, moves and drama to get the correct vibe. They have songs for harvesting, famine and summer to name a few categories.
The group was established by one of the soloists. She had been dancing for years, and after meeting youth with the same interest – a group was formed. In addition to dancing together, the group acts like a community for support and help.
