Meaningful Safari in Kenya

Meaningful Safari is a new concept created to meet the increasing demand for educating travels. You will get to see fascinating animals in a beautiful landscape, while also getting an unique insight into African cultures and ways of life. This through meeting and interacting with the local people.

Here, you will get to see beautiful and exotic animals, magnificent nature, and get to know East-African culture. We will visit Lake Nakuru national park, which is known for it’s pink flamingos and white pelicans. In Masai Mara, one of the worlds most famous nature reserves, you’re almost guaranteed to see the big five: i.e. lion, elephant, buffalo, cheetah and rhino.

They also offer an enjoyable boat trip on Lake Victoria. In addition to experience spectacular scenery from a new point of view, the guides have extensive knowledge about the area which they are happy to share with you. These guides are experts on the life in and around the lake, in regards of both animals and people. However their most extensive field of expertise is life of the birds.

The meaningful part of the safari, comprises meeting and interacting with locals. You will visit local markets, cook traditional dishes with locals, visit children living on the street – and see how NGOs and other humanitarian organizations are trying to help the poor and unfortunate. This is a safari full of impressions, that will give you a better insight into the bad and good parts of the East-African society. You will most likely go home with a better understanding of the issues this region is dealing with and how development aid can be a good resource for the community, but also a clearer vision of the positive development these countries are going through today.
